In August 1867, Dosithée Gallien and his wife Marie (Marine LeBreton) were enumerated at Paroisse Saint-Bernard in Néguac, Northumberland County, New Brunswick, on a parish census of communicants. Their home was recorded as household number 20, sitting immediately next door to Dosithée's brother-in-law, Olivier Thibodeau (household number 19). Living with them and noted as eligible communicants were their children, Luc Gallien and Marie Gallien. Their daughter Marguerite Gallien was omitted from this specific household block because she was recorded separately on the corresponding parish list of First Communicants for that same month.
