   gallien cultivateur de cette paroisse, et de Rosalie Doiron son épouse. Le
   parrain a été Pierre giasson, la marraine Marie anne Vicaire femme
   de zacharie Doiron grand mère dudit enfant lesquels ont déclaré ne savoir

   priest mis[sionary] undersigned, Basile, born yesterday of the legitimate marriage of Basile
   Gallien, cultivator of this parish, and of Rosalie Doiron, his wife. The
   godfather was Pierre Giasson, the godmother Marie Anne Vicaire, wife
   of Zacharie Doiron, grandmother of the said child, who have declared not knowing how to
   Sign, as required according to the ordinance.

   They received a dispensation granted by the Bishop of Quebec for consanguinity. The witnesses were Basile Gallien Sr. and Charles Doiron.

   Le second Janvier Mil huit cent trente trois après la publication de trois bans de mariage faite au prône des messes de ce lieu entre Basile Gallien fils majeur de Basile Gallien et de Rosalie Doiron de Caraquet d’une part et Prudente Albert fille majeure de Pierre Albert et de Archange Bouthillier de Caraquet d’autre part ne s’étant découvert aucun autre empêchement que celui du troisième au troisième degré de consanguinité et celui du troisième au quatrième degré de consanguinité dont nous leur avons donné dispense en vertu des pouvoirs qui nous ont été accordés par l’évêque de Québec, nous prêtre soussigné missionnaire avons reçu leur mutuel consentement et leur avons donné la bénédiction nuptiale en présence de Charles Doiron et Basile Gallien qui n’ont su signer.

   The second of January, one thousand eight hundred thirty-three, after the publication of three marriage banns made at the sermon of the masses of this place between Basile Gallien, son of age of Basile Gallien and of Rosalie Doiron of Caraquet, on one side, and Prudente Albert, daughter of age of Pierre Albert and of Archange Bouthillier of Caraquet, on the other side, having discovered no other impediment than that of the third to the third degree of consanguinity and that of the third to the fourth degree of consanguinity, for which we have given them a dispensation by virtue of the powers that have been granted to us by the Bishop of Quebec, we, the undersigned missionary priest, have received their mutual consent and have given them the nuptial blessing in the presence of Charles Doiron and Basile Gallien, who did not know how to sign.
