    Marriage Announcement

    CAMPBELL—PICKEMAN

A pretty wedding took place Saturday evening at Chalmers United church when Bette Pickeman, only daughter of Mrs. Pickeman and the late Robert Pickeman, became the bride of Wm. Campbell, son of Mr. And Mrs. Wm. Campbell.
Rev. C.A. Gowans officiated against a background of gladioli and ferns.
Wedding music was played by J. A. Sutherland. Given in marriage by her brother, Robert Pickeman, the bride wore a gown of pure white bridal satin, made on princess lines with yoke of fine lace. The shoulder length veil and Juliet cap was held in place by a wreath of orange blossoms. She carried a cascade bouquet of roses and baby’s breath and a sprig of white heather sent from Scotland. The bride’s only attendant, Noreen Ann Moody, wore a princess gown of orchid chiffon over taffeta, orchid mitts and matching halo hat, veil and slippers, and carried yellow roses and baby’s breath. Victor Campbell was best man and the ushers were Findlay Kennedy, cousin of the bride, and George Campbell, cousin of the groom. After the ceremony, a reception was held at Hunt’s. The bride’s mother received in a gown of green sheer with corsage of pink roses, and the groom’s mother wore a gown of navy sheer with corsage of red roses. Later the couple left for Muskoka. Mr. And Mrs. Campbell will reside at 310 Weston rd. South.
